Happy New Moon in Virgo, at 25˚01’, September 17, 4:00 AM PDT.

The New Moon forms a trine to Saturn and Pluto conjunct in Capricorn, 25˚27’and 22˚33’ retrograde, and a wide trine to Jupiter, while forming a square to the nodes of the Moon. Sun and Moon also form a quincunx to Mars at 27˚43’ Aries, retrograde, and Eris, along with a wide opposition to Neptune in Pisces.

Some project or area of your life needs hard work, a critical mind, and sustained effort, as well as some courage, to make real now. Plant the seed for the month ahead in your early morning meditations, imagining how to fine tune the projects you are producing and developing. There may be some discernment needed in polishing and perfecting our vision, honing our skills and choosing best practices to bring out our true, authentic selves.

This picture is by the late, great Harlem Renaissance artist, Jacob Lawrence, a Virgo Sun with a Capricorn north node of the Moon. Lawrence strove his whole life to build an enduring legacy, a lifelong career as a visual artist – and he became a master craftsman of design. He worked tirelessly to honor the history of Black Americans, his elders, in service to his community. With a Gemini Moon and Jupiter, Libra Mercury and Venus also in his birthchart, he documented their story through visual art, a story that has touched and educated many.

Now’s the time to visualize OUR great work. Look to see where 25˚ of Virgo and Capricorn fall in your birthchart. Roll up your sleeves and get to it!

We are all hoping for some collective change; we all have a part to play. We’ve been fighting to tear down old structures and calling out a need for systemic change. Now we work on building something new, make ourselves worthy of our craft, and push to birth something real.

Blessings on the New Moon everyone!
